OKC Zoo is planning to host a grand holiday Christmas 2021 light event this year. The Christmas light events were last held in Oklahoma in 1992. OKC Zoo Safari Lights will feature larger-than-life displays that showcase over 50 themed light sculptures. This will be the first holiday light event at the Oklahoma City Zoo since 1992. The event will feature over 50 themed light sculptures of wildlife, aquatic animals and many more. Guests must stay on the marked Outdoor Safari Walk pathway and maintain safe social distancing.
If you are wondering about entry fee to the OKC Zoo, The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden will offer free general admission on weekday afternoons. While masks are not mandatory for visitors, All zoo staff members will be required to wear face masks and gloves, while working.
However if you are planning to bring pet with you to the zoo, you have to note that No animals, including service dogs, will be allowed inside any interactive animal exhibit at the Zoo including, but not limited, to the Centennial Choo Choo, Dan Moran Aviary, Oklahoma Trails Aviary and the Lorikeet exhibit.
It is advised to plan ahead and book in advance. The Oklahoma City Zoo is open daily at 8 a.m. Advance tickets are required for all guests and ZOOfriends members during Christmas festival times.
Guests are welcome to bring in personal coolers with outside food and drink. Oklahoma zoo has Six full bars located throughout the Zoo will be selling beverages including domestic beer, wine, mixed drinks, soda and water. The complete zoo takes at least an hour of your time to walk around. The long walk about is at least an hour to see all the exhibits. The inner circle of the zoo is jam packed with animals to see, and the aquarium exhibit and show, petting zoo, and education canter would take a minimum of 2 to 3 hours to see completely.
